Kyle raced Sunday at Austin Del Valle, 2nd round of the Texas Triple Crown.

Well in the last second we decided to race the 2nd round of the Texas Triple Crown Winter Series at Austin Del Valle.. Just trying to find out were I stand after my complete knee rebuild. I raced only 2 classes today because of being off the bike completely for the past 6 months and only practicing for the past 2 weeks.

The first moto was an eye-opening experience as right in the first turn a YZ450 came cart-wheeling from the heavens and pinned me beneath it. I got up a lap down after the guy pulled his 450 off me and that was my first moto back. That moto was fun because it was 250 and 450 open and expert so getting a good start on a 250 was tough. Anyway I got back to 8th.

The next moto was 250 youth 12 to 15. I pulled the holeshot and never looked back taking the win. The second moto of the 250/450 open, expert was next. Trying to salvage some respect I pulled the holeshot by not letting off in turn one; with me on a 250 and the winner of moto 1 on a Honda CRF 450 close in toe. There were 8 or 9 lead changes but in the end the I was on a 250 and he was on a 450 so I ended up 2nd. I tried a inside pass on the last turn but came up short by a bike. "Man I can't wait till my new 450 gets here."

So one wipe out and a 2nd and 2 moto wins in school boy my first race back and first race at this track. I still have lots of work to do, I got tired really quick so I have to crank up my endurance. The final tally was 250/450 Open/Expert 4th overall thanks to a 2nd in Moto 2, 250F 12-15 youth 1st Overall. See ya out there!!!
